Biesterfeld Partners with Osaka Soda to Expand Specialty Elastomer Portfolio in the UK and Ireland

Biesterfeld, a global distributor and service provider for polymers, rubber, specialty chemicals, and ingredients, has entered into a strategic partnership with Osaka Soda Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese specialty chemicals manufacturer, to strengthen the availability of high-performance elastomers and specialty additives in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Under the agreement, Biesterfeld Petroplas Ltd, a subsidiary of Biesterfeld, will serve as the distribution partner for Osaka Soda’s products in the region. The collaboration is aimed at expanding Biesterfeld’s portfolio of advanced rubber materials and performance additives while providing customers with innovative and high-quality solutions for demanding industrial applications.

The partnership covers the distribution of Osaka Soda’s EPICHLOMER™ epichlorohydrin rubber (ECO), RACRESTER™ acrylic rubber (ACM), and CABRUS™ polysulfide silane coupling agents. Through this collaboration, Biesterfeld aims to strengthen its position in the advanced elastomers market and expand access to Osaka Soda’s high-performance specialty products across the UK and Ireland, supporting customers with innovative solutions for demanding industrial applications.

These specialty materials offer excellent resistance to heat, oil, chemicals, and weathering, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including automotive components, industrial manufacturing, sealing systems, and other technically demanding sectors.
