BEWI, a leading supplier of packaging, components, and insulation solutions, has broadened its sustainable GreenLine product portfolio with the launch of GreenLine Super EPS, a grey expanded polystyrene insulation board featuring up to a 52% lower CO₂ footprint. Manufactured using the industry’s first grey EPS raw material made entirely from recycled feedstock by BEWI RAW, the product offers improved environmental performance while retaining the same technical characteristics as standard grey EPS, including strong thermal insulation, high compressive strength and low water absorption.

Grey EPS incorporates graphite to enhance insulation efficiency compared with conventional white EPS, supporting higher energy performance in buildings. The introduction forms part of BEWI’s wider approach to advancing circularity, in which its Circular division collects and recycles around 40,000 tonnes of used EPS annually for reuse in its own production processes.

This strategy enables the development of more insulation solutions derived from recycled materials, helping customers achieve their carbon reduction objectives. According to Karl Erik Olesen, Chief Operating Officer for BEWI’s Downstream segments, GreenLine Super EPS demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to resource efficiency and innovation in support of sustainability goals across the construction sector.
