BASF Aroma Ingredients has introduced Micadelva™, a new citrus fragrance ingredient designed as a non-allergenic alternative to orange terpenes. It offers perfumers a new orange platform for creating modern, long-lasting citrus notes through reformulation.
The company also unveiled its Safe-by-Design innovation concept, based on the EU's Safe and Sustainable by Design framework, to help develop future-ready fragrance ingredients in an evolving regulatory landscape.
Micadelva™ contains 80% renewable carbon, is readily biodegradable, and is expected to have a low product carbon footprint (A++ rating), supporting more sustainable fragrance development.
