Azelis and Milliken Strengthen Partnership to Expand Polyurethane Colourant Solutions in India

Global speciality chemicals distributor Azelis has entered into a distribution agreement with Milliken & Company to expand the availability of polyurethane (PU) colourant solutions across India. Under the partnership, Azelis will distribute Milliken’s Reactint® PU liquid colourants to customers in the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) sector, enabling broader market access to advanced colourant technologies for polyurethane applications.

The agreement builds on the long-standing collaboration between the two companies in the EMEA region and represents a strategic extension of their partnership into the Indian market. Through this arrangement, Milliken aims to strengthen its presence in India’s growing polyurethane sector while leveraging Azelis’s strong local distribution network, technical expertise and customer relationships.

Milliken’s Reactint® colourant solutions are designed to provide consistent colour performance, durability and easy handling across various polyurethane applications. These liquid colourants are widely used in flexible foams and other PU systems, while the partnership also seeks to expand their use in CASE applications. In addition to improving aesthetic and performance characteristics, the colourant technology can support polyurethane foam recycling by allowing higher recovery of materials without discolouring reclaimed polyols.

India represents a key growth market for both companies, driven by expanding demand for polyurethane materials across multiple industries. By combining Milliken’s expertise in polyurethane technologies with Azelis’s established local market presence and application support capabilities, the collaboration aims to deliver enhanced value and innovative solutions to customers while supporting the continued development of the polyurethane industry in the region.
