Azelis and Chemetall Expand North American Surface Treatment Distribution Partnership

Chemetall, the global surface treatment business unit of BASF Coatings, has expanded its distribution partnership with Azelis across North America, extending the agreement to the United States and Mexico in addition to Canada.

Under the expanded collaboration, Azelis will distribute Chemetall’s surface treatment solutions for general industrial applications throughout the region. The partnership was first launched in Canada in November 2025, followed by Mexico in April 2026 and the United States in May 2026.

The expanded agreement highlights the complementary strengths of both companies and their shared focus on delivering enhanced customer support across North America. Through Azelis’s digital customer platforms, users in the U.S., Canada and Mexico will have round-the-clock access to Chemetall’s advanced surface treatment technologies, enabling them to download technical and safety documents, place orders and request samples. Combined with Azelis’s regional market expertise and local technical support, the partnership aims to provide improved service and easier access to solutions throughout the region.
