Atlantic Grupa invests in waterdrop®- a global microdrink brand

Atlantic Grupa invested EUR 11 million in waterdrop®, acquiring a minority ownership and a seat on the company's Investment Committee. This allows Atlantic Grupa to have direct access to the business while actively supporting the brand's future development and expansion.


Waterdrop® was developed in Vienna with the goal of encouraging people to drink more water in a healthier, more sustainable manner. Its Microdrinks are compressed, sugar-free cubes that enrich water with natural fruit and plant extracts, providing a tasty and functional alternative to typical non-alcoholic beverages. The items are developed and manufactured in the company's own plant in Germany, ensuring high quality and operational control.


Over the last decade, waterdrop® has evolved into a global hydration brand with revenues of over EUR 150 million and a presence in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Japan. The company has a scalable, omnichannel business model that combines a strong direct-to-consumer basis with branded retail outlets and certain distribution agreements, and it is profitable. Waterdrop® has around 50 retail sites in key cities, flawlessly integrating digital and physical shopping into a unique brand experience. The brand's global visibility is further enhanced via agreements with important international sporting events such as the Australian Open, as well as collaborations with prominent tennis players.
