Assan Panel, a Turkish manufacturer of insulated panels, is planning to build its first manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom. PIR, PU, and mineral wool will be used to fill sandwich panels that will be manufactured at the factory. Gateway 14 in Stowmarket, which is a part of the Freeport East development, will be the location of the establishment.
The company has announced that it will invest forty-five million pounds in the factory, which will result in the creation of approximately one hundred jobs. The organisation has high hopes that it will be operational by the autumn of 2025. A new office for the United Kingdom market is also going to be established in Ipswich.
“With close proximity to the port of Felixstowe and the flexibility of the freeport customs model, locating in Freeport East provides Assan Panel with the ideal base from which to serve both UK and European markets,” said Steve Beel, Freeport East’s CEO. “We are confident this is a model that will encourage other international manufacturers to consider Freeport East as a future strategic location.”
Kibar Holding, a Turkish company, owns Assan Panel. In addition to its ability to manufacture in Turkey, it currently produces panels in Jordan and Azerbaijan.
