Armacell’s AustroFlex™ AustroPUR becomes the first product to receive EHP 002 certification for heat network applications.

Armacell has become the first manufacturer worldwide to obtain EHP 002 certification for a flexible pre‑insulated pipe system, with its AustroFlex™ AustroPUR solution for district heating and cooling networks. Issued by Euroheat & Power, the voluntary certification confirms full compliance with EN 15632 and is based on rigorous independent testing by accredited third‑party auditors, combined with ongoing external surveillance of factory production control.

AustroPUR is the first flexible pipe system to meet all EHP 002 programme criteria and builds on its earlier milestone as the first pre‑insulated flexible pipe range to receive an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The certification validates the system’s high thermal efficiency, long‑term mechanical durability and robust quality assurance processes, with a designed service life of at least 30 years at operating temperatures up to 80 °C and up to 100 years at 65 °C.

EHP 002 certification supports consistent quality standards across Europe and provides utilities, planners and contractors with a reliable, independently verified basis for product selection, increasingly referenced in EU public procurement and tendering processes.
