Rolle - ADM (NYSE: ADM), a worldwide leader in innovative solutions from nature, has expanded its Customer Creation and Innovation Center (CCIC) facility in Hungary, enhancing its ability to provide bespoke beverage solutions for customers in Eastern Europe.
The enlarged facility has doubled in size, adding greater application resources and broadening ADM's regional capabilities, allowing customers to speed the development of on-trend beverage concepts ranging from ready-to-drink goods and coffee beverages to functional and wellness-focused drinks.
The growth comes as customer demand for functional, low-sugar beverages grows. According to industry predictions, Hungary's non-alcoholic beverage category, estimated at $3 billion in 2025, would increase at a 3.5% annual rate through 2030, with foodservice categories having particularly strong growth. ADM's Hungary plant provides customers with localised expertise, technical support, and shorter product development cycles, enabling them to respond to emerging trends.
"This investment underlines our commitment to accelerating customer innovation by integrating local experience with ADM's worldwide flavour capabilities," stated Alexander Lichter, VP, Flavours EMEA. "The expanded facility will enable us to develop customised solutions that help beverage and foodservice brands meet growing consumer demand for great taste, convenience and better-for-you products."
The expansion follows the recent debut of ADM's foodservice brand, LaSavista®, which provides comprehensive ingredient systems and customised concepts for coffee, tea, and other beverage applications. ADM's strategic investment in the Hungary facility, which follows the acquisition of Fuerst Day Lawson Limited (FDL) in the United Kingdom and the establishment of a new flavour creation lab in South Africa, expands the company's global flavour network. These advancements strengthen ADM's position as a leading partner in beverage innovation, combining localised expertise with global capabilities.
